Dead Pedal - “Something I Forgot” Official Music Video

Directed by Matt Rhodes & Paige Burger

Director of Photography, Camera Operator, Editor: Matt Rhodes

Appreciating the fundamentals of raw Chicago and Detroit house music, Karina's trademark style fuses elements of the two smoothly together with the minimalistic, forward thinking deep house that has become synonymous with her sound.

Never afraid to stray from her norm and always keen to experiment with something outside of the traditional house/techno paradigm, her vinyl selection is seductive, laid-back and hypnotic while all the time retaining a driving, motivating rhythm. Enjoy Karina's groovy vinyl set filmed with the stunning Patuxent river in Maryland, USA behind her.

Last week’s opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture was enveloped by a three-day music festival, with performances from folk instrumentals to poetry to dance to hip hop. The artists talk about the importance of political leaders such as Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., and President Barack Obama in bringing the museum to life, and the unique place African American sounds have and will always have in American society.
